The forging industry of Jiahe in Hunan Province began in the Ming Dynasty, which has a history of more than 600 years. After the reform and opening up, state-owned hardware enterprises gradually languishing, private forging enterprises have come to the fore in the market economy, and gradually formed an industrial development pattern with Tang village as the core and radiating the surrounding towns. The developed hardware tools have reached more than 2,000 varieties and 59 series, and the output has reached more than 65 million pieces (sets).

In the 1990s, Jiahe Forging experienced a humiliating history. In order to seize the market, many Jiahe forging and casting enterprises have taken to some brand enterprises in Hubei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Yunnan and other places to "buy license" production, spend millions of yuan a year in trademark brand fees, and become the "second production workshop" of others. Family management, low-end products, high energy consumption, pollution, vicious competition and other drawbacks are increasingly exposed.

In order to break this deadlock, in 2010, Jiahe County Hardware Forging Association was officially established. After the establishment of the association, it has played an important role in avoiding vicious competition in the price of forging products, promoting the healthy development of the industry and introducing new technologies and processes. At the same time, Jiahe County Party Committee and county government actively guide private business owners to take the road of scientific and technological innovation. In addition to the county every year to take out scientific and technological innovation incentive, but also to guide business owners in brand building, trademark declaration and other aspects of hard work, the emergence of such as Jiahe Seiko Forging Co., LTD., Hunan Tike intelligent equipment Co., LTD., Hunan Amazon Machinery Co., LTD., and other company brands came into being. In 2015, Jiahe County won the title of "Forging Town" and "China Green Forging Demonstration Base". Seiko Forging and Casting Company has become the supplier of the international brand company Tesla.

In order to improve the quality of casting and forging products and enhance the market competitiveness of Jiahe casting and forging industry, in 2018, Jiahe County invested more than 20 million yuan and set up the Hunan Province casting and forging product Quality supervision and Inspection Center, which is the "national brand" platform for Jiahe County to serve casting and forging enterprises, and is also the Hunan Province casting and forging product quality supervision and inspection center.

By 2022, the gross production value of the forging and casting industry has reached 15 billion yuan, and there are 60 enterprises above designated size, including 5 high-tech enterprises, and more than 10 enterprises with an annual output value of more than 100 million, and it has become the manufacturing base of hardware tools, auto parts and mining machinery in the province. Jiahe's casting and forging products are exported to 30 countries and regions in Europe, America, Africa, Southeast Asia, etc., stepping into the international market.
